Air Conditioner Maintenance Reminder
Posted By ngonzalez on July 27, 2021
That summertime heat is kicking in and coolant systems are running on overtime. Leaks are being noticed from the ceilings above and air conditioning specialists are working hard to keep up with the demands for those emergency repairs. Don’t wait for the drip to cause damage. Make that call for preventative maintenance!
Don’t forget to change your air filter regularly. The air filter prevents dirt from being drawn into your furnace and air conditioner. If the inside of your equipment becomes clogged by dirt, airflow is severely restricted. This insufficient airflow stresses major components, and this can lead to expensive breakdowns and reduced energy efficiency. If there are more allergens than usual or if you live with pets, then your filters will require more frequent replacement – usually every 60 days.
Have a specialist service your HVAC system annually. This service often includes review for refrigerant leaks, cleaning drain pan, fan blades, checking the operation or controls and electrical connections, make adjustments and replace certain small parts as needed.
Remember, well-maintained equipment uses less energy and is less costly to run. Preventative measures help correct problems before they become expensive, big problems!
