Annual Meeting of the Members - Remember to Submit your Ballot!

We would like to remind all Owners that the Annual Meeting of the Members is scheduled to be held Thursday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m. in the Barker Block Breezeway.  Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to sign-in.  In order to hold the Annual Meeting and reach quorum, we are required to have 156 out of 310 ballots or proxies returned.  We would like to remind each owner that has not voted or submitted a proxy to please take the time to read through the ballot mailer, complete the ballot and return it inside the envelopes provided as soon as possible.  Feel free to drop your ballot or proxy off at the Management Office.


If you misplaced your ballot and have not yet voted, please let Management know so a new ballot can be mailed to you.  Please feel free to call me or Administrative Assistant Nicome at 213-473-0079 with any questions you may have regarding the voting processYour vote counts!


****Please keep in mind, the HOA saves money by reaching quorum the first time around as we would not need to pay for legal counsel and the ballot inspector to return a second time.

Pool Deck Townhall Meeting

The Board and Nautilus will be holding a Townhall Meeting to discuss the details of the upcoming pool deck construction. Please join us on September 20, 2018 at 7:00pm in the Breezeway.  Your questions regarding this project will be answered at the Townhall Meeting.

Pool Deck Concepts- Scheme 1 & Scheme 2 - Looking for your feedback!!


Dear Barker Block Homeowners:


First and foremost, we would like to give a big THANK YOU to everyone ​who attended the HOA ​meeting on ​June 27th and provided valuable input to the two pool deck concepts that were presented.  Although we received valuable input from all who attended the meeting, the Board is welcoming suggestions and feedback from the entire community.  An example of one suggestion that we received thus far, was having a water bottle refill station in lieu of the water fountains. This is a suggestion that may be considered if the City’s Building Department doesn’t require that the water fountains need to stay in place.


Please contact Management to receive the 2 design schemes that the Board and the design firm we have partnered with, Relativity Architects,​ have ​​been developing for several months. Some of the initial ideas were to provide more shade, to capture the beautiful view of DTLA, and to ​utilize more space on the pool deck. We ask that you please take a moment to review both design concepts and email General Manager Monica Heredia at mheredia@actionlife.com with your suggestions and feedback.  The Board will receive all responses.  Please be advised, the deadline for all feedback and suggestions is Monday, July 9th.  All comments will be considered, however it is not guaranteed that all of them will be implemented.


As a reminder, the two designs are preliminary conceptual drawings and not the final design. The preliminary conceptual drawings are solely for community input.  Please keep in mind, as we continue to move forward with design, cost, building code, maintenance concerns, etc. the project may be updated and elements may change.
